The Community
Build Telecommunications Career Training (TCT) program provides services
for youth ages 16-18 that reside in Camp Scudder or Camp Scott and
are scheduled to be released to the community. Primarily zip codes
are 90044, 90047, 90003, 90059, and 90002. The program, which is run
by members of the community will address recidivism of youthful offenders
by focusing on skill attainment and employment retention. Most of
the youth will be trained in fiber optics and cabling (C-TECH) while
still in custody. All will continue to receive post release services,
including C-TECH, upon release and Re-entry into their home community.
