Youth Programs - LA Bridges

The LA Bridges Program for the Bret-Harte Middle School Area provides services for youth ages 10-14 and their family members who reside in the Bret-Harte Middle School Community. The program, one of twenty-seven in the City of Los Angeles, is designed to reduce gang involvement by area youth. Program services include: intensive case management, assistance with academic achievement, parent and family support, Crisis Counseling, bi-monthly gang awareness workshops, Conflict resolution counseling sessions, after school programs and a community "safe passage" program staffed by parent volunteers. Community Build, Inc. operates Family Resource Centers on both the campus of Bret-Harte Middle School and at the Community Build Youth Center on Vermont Avenue.
